This is the official Purdy’s Rainbow’s Project page. I wanted to create something that would open people’s minds to the fact that as a photographer I am human too. Life is not always rainbows and butterflies and I also have my share of struggles. As a mother of three beautiful Rainbow babie’s I know the pain of miscarriage all too well. Fortunately for my husband and I we have been incredibly blessed. Our loss and heartache paved way for our three perfect daughters. Words can not express the amount of love and joy we feel for our girls. I would love to share our joy with others who have suffered the same type of loss. Once a month I will be giving away one free rainbow baby inspired session. The following sessions will be available, Newborn, Maternity, Milestone, Cake Smash, or Birthday. These will be given to families who are due with or have given birth to a baby after a miscarriage, still birth, infant loss, or child loss. You can apply for your family or for someone else. Please fill out the form below and submit. In the beginning of each month I will use a name generator to randomly select a name for the month ahead. If you are not selected for the month you are most interested in please do not give up hope. You can add a back up month on the form or you can re-apply as many time’s as you like. If you are selected I will notify you by email, you will have 48 hours to either accept or deny the offer. If you deny the offer I will select a new winner.

I hope this project will add a little more color into someone’s storm!

Meet Purdy’s Rainbows!

Charlie

With out further ado here is a glimpse of the very first Rainbow baby session for my project. Meet Charlie, I do not know the complete story behind how this sweet boy came to be but I can tell you from experience working with him that he is wonderful. A true blessing. These images are proof of how happy and fun this adorable boy is. He was the absolute perfect model to kick off this project and I’m happy his mom contacted me when she did. This smash is one for the books, that’s for sure. Charlie had fun from the start. He giggles, he laughed, he threw confetti, and he ate cake. He managed to splash all the water out of the tub but that’s ok, because he had so much fun doing it. Happy two years young Charlie, I hope your second birthday is as wonderful as you.

Madison

Say Hello to the Madison. This sweet girl is so much sunshine after a rainy day. Her parents had many struggles before this beautiful girl was born. She is perfection. She was not a huge fan of the session at first but once I got out the cake, she was all giggles and smiles. I hope you have a wonderful 1st Birthday perfect little rainbow girl.

Logan

Every Rainbow baby session I do brings me so much joy! I am a little behind posting but his gallery is complete and look how adorable this little guy is. It took Logan a little while to get use to me and his set up but after a while he was a super fun happy little guy. He smashed his cake like a champ and really loved being in the tub! Which is no surprise because I’m realizing more and more that babies love the tub more than their cake! Let’s also talk about this theme and how I created a super bright colorful car set up that was perfect for this rainbow boy!

Jack

Not sure where to start. I have been lucky enough to photograph this handsome guy and his family for a couple years now. He is truly a light. He has also grown so much over the years, it’s hard to believe how grown up he has become. He went from being this shy little baby to being a super sweet, goofy, social little boy. It’s just wild how fast these little ones grow and to be able to document them as they grow is one of my most favorite things to do. Happy 3 years Jack.

Lewa

This beautiful girl is an absolute blessing. She is the true definition of a rainbow baby in many ways. I have been photographing her since she was just a little baby. I was so grateful to be able to document her 4th birthday with this beautiful set up. Her family is moving out of state and as much as I'm sad that I won’t be able to photograph her anymore. I'm very excited to see where their journey takes them. Good luck to Lewa and her family on their next adventure and I hope Lewa's birthday is just as perfect as her.

Andrew

Meet Andrew! This little guy was such a happy dude. His gallery was filled with smiles and goofy faces. His parents and I had a blast with this super adorable little smasher. I can’t get enough of him and how perfect he was. Happy 1 year, little guy I hope it’s wonderful.

Adkins

My first Rainbow Maternity session in the books. This beautiful family has suffered so much heartache and loss over the years and now they’re expecting their perfect little rainbow addition to their family. This family was such an honor to photograph, and I really enjoyed chatting with them and hearing all the stories they shared. Congratulations Adkins family.

Charlotte

What a sweet little ray of sunshine. She was such a silly beautiful little girl with a larger, than life personality. I had so much fun at her session and loved meeting her and her mama. We had so many laughs and this little lady kept us on our toes the entire session. But she was a blast! Happy 1 year Charlotte.

Tanner

Meet Tanner! What a super adorable rainbow baby winner. I was so happy to be able to offer this session to this little guy. But specially his mama who is one of the nicest people I know. She is so deserving of the joy this little guy brings. He is such a silly little guy. He was not a huge fan of the fake grass but once we put that cake in front of him nothing else mattered. Happy 1 year Tanner.

Patrick

Patrick is a long-time client of mine. This project has not only helped me touch the hearts of people I have never met but helped me offer something special to my current clients also. Patrick and his little sister have been clients of mine for a long time and it warms my heart when I can share my passion with such awesome clients who really make my job worth having. Happy 4 years Patrick.

Lucy

I had so much fun with Lucy and her mama for her beautiful rainbow session. Lucy is full of life, personality, and I bet she sparkles everywhere she goes. This set up was perfect for her and her favorite unicorn outfit. We gave this beautiful girl the full princess treatment complete, with a pink princess dress picked personally by Lucy out of my client closet. She did such a good job, and her mama was a huge help too. I also learned that Lucy’s mom is also a photographer which is amazing and I’m so happy I was able to provide this rainbow session for a fellow photographer’s rainbow girl. Happy birthday Lucy, I wish you and your family the best.

Veera

Verra is a returning client. I love working with her and her family. They are always so fun to work with. Verra did such an amazing job with her session this girl is a force I tell you. She loves Frozen so a Frozen theme is what I gave her. I can’t wait to see what fun things she does next. I hope to see her and her family back in my studio soon. Happy Birthday Beautiful girl!

Alena

This sweet girl was full of personality. She is such a bubbly little light for her family. Her mom was so helpful when it came to getting those perfect studio shots while also loving all the adorable candid moments. Alena’s set up was perfect for her as well and really helped showcase her bright personality. Happy Birthday Alena!

Aiden

Aiden was such a happy, goofy little guy. Full of energy and gave me all the most perfect poses. Little boys at his age are always so much fun to work with. I loved the fact that Aidens mom was open to this super traditional color pallet and set up. I think it was perfect for this little guy. Happy Birthday Aiden!

Billie

This little girl’s family is one of my favorites to work with. Her mom was nominated by a friend for her maternity session. I was so excited that Billie was also nominated for her cake smash session. Her mom gave me freedom to create something I felt would fit Billie to a T. What’s more adorable than a boho rainbow/fall/pumpkin cake smash. Perfect for a fall rainbow baby. Now let’s talk about Billie. She was such a perfect little model, and she was delightful from start to finish. With a personality larger than life just like her older sister and parents. I had such a blast with her I can’t wait to see her and her family again. Happy Birthday Billie!
